He likes the Continuum Transfunctioner enough to comment on its mysterious nature. She disagrees. Now she can reply to his comment, addin that its mystery is only exceeded by its power and that it is not to be trusted by anyone. Product Pulse now offers direct replies to comments from other users. Don’t get too nasty!
So you and your friends like to play tag with Bumper Sticker all day, buy each other Facebook gifts, and hook each other up with mojitos with the Booze Mail feature. Now give any gift found on Product Pulse to your friends, right where you write on their Walls.
Here is where to find the Product Pulse gift feature:
This is our first of many blog posts discussing ProductPulse, our social app. ProductPulse is a fun and easy way to share product recommendations and opinions with friends on Facebook and MySpace. By using a “Love it or Hate it” voting box, you rate products, make comments and compare tastes with friends. You can also get the vibe of the crowd by seeing what ‘s listed as most loved, hated, talked about, controversial and trendy (all on the Leader Board).
We also tee-up weekly contests where you can win cool gear from companies like: Timbuk2, Mountain Hardwear, Cisco, Keen and others. So far we’ve given away 28 prizes. Enter this week’s contest through the Pulse box…just start rating and enter to win.
ProductPulse has been available on Facebook since last summer and is already in the Top 2% of all apps (almost 25,000 of them). In April, we launched ProductPulse on MySpace and were quickly selected as an Editor’s Pick—defined, as “apps that the MySpace Developer Platform team thinks are really awesome.”
We’re working hard to add functionality and improve the usefulness of ProductPulse—make it more awesome. Recently, we added YouTube videos and blog posts on each product (accessible on the product description pages)—just in case you want to dig a little deeper. Check out this video on that came up on my recommendation of the movie Spinal Tap (one of my all time favorites):
Now you can also rate any user comment (even your own with a simple thumbs-up, thumbs-down style of voting. New stuff in the works includes: synchronizing ProductPulse across Facebook and MySpace, creating video reviews, improved Facebook profile boxes and more.
If you have any thoughts on what you’d like to see on ProductPulse, or have any questions leave a comment to this post (we also have links on our Facebook and MySpace apps where you can leave feedback). Stay tuned…
